ABOUT HONEY BEES
BIBBA encourages the conservation and improvement of native honey bees. For beekeepers in northern Europe it is known that the native sub-species Apis mellifera mellifera is the honey bee most adapted to the climate and environment. This honey bee is usually described as 'dark', 'brown' or 'black'.

Here is a selection of articles and resources written by BIBBA members and contributors. Please bookmark (Ctrl-D) us now and come back to visit soon as this site will soon be developed and expanded.
